Chapel Allerton is a charming residential area in Leeds, with plenty to offer. The soul of Chapel Allerton is the high-street at the centre with bars, restaurants, shops and much more. There is a strong community spirit in the area, as each year residents volunteer and work together to produce Chapel Allerton Arts Festival (CAAF).
Celebrating its 16th year, CAAF took place on the 30th of Augusts to Sunday the 1st of September. This year’s theme was magic and illusion, with activities building up to the main festival from the 26th of August. The program was full of music, comedy, food and activities for all ages.
Walking through the bustling crowds, a feel-good atmosphere radiated from visitors, stall-owners and artists alike. A colourful array of stalls lined the main festival street, Regent Street, ranging from Thai food to Leeds brewed beer.
If you missed CAAF, the atmosphere of the festival is still present in the heart of Chapel Allerton. Local venues and shops have an array of events and gatherings year round for all ages and walks of life.
