Yorkshire is getting into the cycling spirit

The Grand Depart

By now everyone will have heard that Yorkshire will be host to the world’s greatest cycle race – the Tour de France. Le Tour will be arriving in Yorkshire in 2014 and an assortment of events have been planned in the build up to the main event.

Part of the build up will be the Tour de France Cultural Festival. There’s been several gatherings across the county, where artists, arts organisations and many more from the creative industries have banded together to create an exciting program of events. Full details of the Cultural Festival will be announced in January.

Yorkshire will show the world how sporty we can be with a series of cycling and sports events in the coming months. There are numerous clubs to join to increase your cycling spirit and events across the county where you can challenge yourself as a rider.
